As promised, here’s the post with information about Saturday morning’s farmstand.
A few details:
25% of sales will be donated to Rescued to support their mission to help local pets
There is a drawing to win a 4 pack of 4 ounce jams
If you’d like to make a cash donation, there will be a collection container for that

This crazy rain has switched up the day, and a little more picking still needs to be done. Quite a bit was picked before it completely soaked me. Don’t worry – I didn’t melt. If the forecast is accurate, then we’ll have a porch party tomorrow! No big deal. We know how to do that, but it would be easier on the driveway. Keeping my eye on the weather…

If I can get everything done, there are dry sunflower heads that will be bagged up for you to feed your wild birds, chickens, or other wildlife. They have some stem remaining so they can be put through a platform feeder, tied to a post or tree branch, or if you’re the crafty type, you can weave/tie them onto an outdoor wreath for the birds to feast. When it dries up outside, you’re welcome to come over and get some coneflower, black-eyed Susan, and spent celosia. As I begin to cut things back, I’ll stack them up to dry a bit. The finches and wrens especially love these flower seeds.

Whew! I’ll be in touch and see you all in the morning!!
