Just a quick reminder that there is no farmstand on July 4th. However, if you need something, please let me know tonight, if possible. This day has not felt like Friday at all! Usually, there would be a ton of picking, washing, packing, baking, and general prep work. Instead, I had all of my “must do” things done by 11:00. What a weird feeling to stay inside this afternoon, but it was much needed. The week’s high heat and humidity really wore me out. After dinner, you can find me watering again and picking a few things for orders for tomorrow. Need fresh herbs? I have them! Think basil, chives, Italian parsley, oregano, Mexican oregano, thyme, rosemary, sage, peppermint.

Staying out of the gardens and taking a nap has recharged my batteries. A fresh batch of almond blueberry granola is in the oven, and another one will go in tomorrow morning. Does anyone else think that snickerdoodle biscotti sounds good? The recipe is printed and I can’t wait to bake some! I’ve also got a granola recipe that has lots of cinnamon and chopped, freeze-dried apple.

Things will get restocked over the next several days, veggies will hopefully see some real rain, and we will be rolling into a great July! If you have a request for baked goods for next Saturday, text me so I don’t have to decide 🙂

Here’s to staying cool, hydrated, and happy. Be safe as you celebrate America’s 250th Birthday!
