I’ll be on Ridgewood Road today from 3:00 until 6:00 with loads of veggies! I’m having lunch right now and then need to go out and pick several things to be truly ready.

There are a couple of NEW or new(ish) things that you may have seen, but if not, let me explain them. The first is a square plastic bowl marked at $2. That’s a way to group and sell tomatoes with split skins, odd cucumbers, peppers with a blemish – you get the idea. The regular value of the “stuff” in the bowl is always much more than $2, and this is a way to keep them from being wasted or end up in the compost bin. The second thing is printed recipes. There were several clipped together on the table Saturday and you all seemed to like that idea, so starting today, you’ll find them in a binder with a colorful cover. There are things like cucumber dip/sandwich spread, refrigerator pickles, roasted tomato soup, and more!
