Due to the amount of picking and work going into this market, there will be NO Pre-orders.
It’s almost here! Saturday morning from 9 to Noon, we will have Jeff Lauber and his little farmers here with their farm-fresh offerings! Grab a friend and come over – remember that bag of empty jars (many of you have recently said that you forgot them).

The question of the week: Will you have tomatoes Saturday?
Short Answer: YES!! There are probably 200 pounds of tomatoes that will be available.
Long answer: multiple bins of red slicers, 2 big bins of heirloom slicers, lots of salad tomatoes, San Marzano, Roma, and cherry tomatoes. There will be a couple of grab bags of 5# tomatoes available for $7.50 a bag and 3 roasted tomato soup kits (2# San Marzano, onion, basil and recipe) for $5 each.

There will be chard, kale, a half bag of mixed, and broccoli greens in the cooler. Also, there are 4# of beans and I’ll check them again tonight. Broccoli has slowed this week with overcast and rainy days, but I’ll check them again tonight also.

To do a “make your own” roasting kit, Jeff will have potatoes and onions in an assortment of singles and different bag sizes. I’ll have half sized bags of carrots and beets along with packages of the roasting herbs. Add some peppers in there and you’ll have an amazing sheet pan!

My baking has included granola and this afternoon will be dedicated to mini cinnamon coffee cakes. If your nightly snack includes popcorn, come check out the three varieties of popping corn that Jeff will have!

We sure hope you and your friends will come and clean us out of one of the biggest harvests of the season! The best time to buy something is A) When you see it and B) When it’s in season.
