Have you seen the forecast? It looks like rain starting in the very early hours and going most of the day. There *may* be a few hours without rain falling, but it is still going to be too wet to pick. Sounds like a repeat of Saturday. The time will allow me to make a few batches of jam, so it’ll be productive.

If you’d like something, please use the “Contact Me” button in the lower right of your screen to reply directly to me with your order. There are currently no zucchini or yellow squash, but the new plants have lots of flowers, so let’s hope for some this weekend. My plan is to pick for a little bit right after lunch today. Then, I need to get back to finishing my “To Do” list. This cooler weather has been great for getting things done and back in order!

If you’d rather pick up later today instead of coming out in the rain tomorrow, just let me know. Again, things are pretty flexible here.

You’ll be happy to know that there are more seeds planted, including slicing cucumbers, beets, kale, carrots, and peas. The white patty pan squash have sprouted! Now, some supports need to be put in, and yesterday there was quality time spent with all the squash vines. Some of them grew two feet or more with all that rain! Oh, and those Jade beans are starting to fill out and there are little flower buds coming on one of the new rows! Just in case, I seeded one of the broccolini beds with more of them 🙂

Speaking of broccolini, there’s a full flat of them seeded and hopefully we’ll have a late harvest. There should be more regular broccoli coming out of the hoop house over the next few weeks to satisfy all you broccoli lovers.

Remember that this Saturday, we will have Jeff and the Little Farmers here with us for the farmstand! They’ll be bringing things like popping corn, Yukon Gold potatoes, onions, and more! Grab a friend and plan to come and get plenty of fresh stuff!

Well, it’s time for me to get to work…
