With Wednesday and Thursday this week (August 23 & 24) looking like extreme heat index readings, I’ll be taking orders. This means I’ll pick early and get out of the gardens. If there are things that you’d like, please feel free to contact me rather than let these veggies become overripe. There’s a fallback plan to make a fresh food donation to the Milan Christian Food Pantry of items that aren’t claimed.

Here’s what I believe can be picked:
Slicers $1 each
Cherry tomatoes $3 per pound
Salad tomatoes $4 per basket
San Marzano tomatoes 6/$2
Cucumbers .50 each or 6/$2.50
Garlic $1.50
Elephant garlic $2.50
Bell peppers .75
Sweet Carmen peppers .75
Banana peppers .50
Jalapeno and Serrano peppers .25
Sweet mini peppers $2.50 per basket
Swiss chard $4 per bag or $2 per half bag
*possibly a zucchini or two and yellow squash, but the heat and insects have been unkind to them

Thank you to everyone that has been doing pick-up orders off farmstand days! It has kept the produce from getting spoiled, and keeps me busy 🙂 I’ve also been canning tomatoes and sauce for our shelves, and it’s been nice to have the time for it.
