Yes, it’s finally that time of year. Most crops have slowed to a crawl and there’s not enough to keep setting up each Saturday. There are crops coming (beans, maybe some peas, more radishes, and tomatoes if I can get them covered) and we will just do them as pick-up only. Speaking of covering crops, Monday and Tuesday night look to be in the low 30’s and that will finish the cherry tomatoes for sure. It will also finish any other tomatoes that aren’t covered, so I’ll be spending time this weekend covering plants that have good potential for harvests. The lettuce and spinach transplants are looking good, and will definitely get covered and the small hoop house will get the shade cloth swapped out for greenhouse plastic.

What will we have on Saturday? I’m glad you asked! Quite a lot, actually! I’ve been baking, picking, and still have some packing to do.
