Yes, it’s Wednesday already – where has the week gone?! Hours have been spent weeding, trimming, watering and trying to get caught up on things. Sadly, this will be our last regular Wednesday farmstand of the year. Overall, crops are slowing and we are down to the last 2 rows of carrots, a small patch of beets, and many things disliked the nighttime temperatures below fifty degrees.

What’s the upside? Fall squash are filling out and we may see a few start to reach full maturity next week, and more will follow. There are full sized butternut, acorn, Casperita pumpkins (small, white that are like an acorn or can be used for decoration), a small amount of small spaghetti squash, and a fun variety of decorative gourds.

When you see the smaller quantities (or lack of green beans) on today’s list, just know that I’ve been filling orders this week. More things are coming! Just need to keep them watered, trimmed, fed and happy. One big change is that from this point forward, all slicers will be .50 because there will be so few big, fat ones.
