That’s right, Saturday is rolling in, and the gardens have enjoyed a cool down. To be honest, it’s been nice for me, too. In a brief summary: tomatoes have gone past the halfway point, beans are still doing great, cucumbers are over the top with production, peppers are putting on more new ones as we speak, new carrots and beets are nearly ready, zucchini and squash are almost done (a few new plants are growing), and fall squash (including pumpkins and gourds) are going crazy! Whew! The gardens need lots of attention to help them reach their fall potential, so let’s hope the cool weather forecast holds for the next week.
