Let’s hope that tomorrow’s rain brings a change in our overall weather pattern. It looks like much cooler temperatures, but let’s hope there’s some breeze to help us dry out. The last two to three days have destroyed several zucchini and squash plants (a few had been reseeded a week ago), and the tomatoes need to be sprayed with copper soap to help prevent fungal diseases. Spraying when it’s 85 degrees and more rain is coming is just not practical, though. The gardens were mostly in great condition until the last 10 days or so, and now there’s a lot of work to do – which I love and want to do! If the day’s forecast doesn’t show a heat index that starts with a one, I’m all in 🙂

Please let me know if you’d like me to pick something for you in the morning and I’ll gladly do it and gather up your order. Car service is in order tomorrow, so you’ll be able to stay dry AND get fresh veggies! Use the Contact Me button in the lower right corner to send me your request.

We should be back to our regularly scheduled programming on Saturday morning, and I’m looking forward to baking some Focaccia bread and there’s a little research happening for a new baked item, too!
