Happy May 2nd to you all! It sure hasn’t felt like May yet, but the forecast is looking better. There’s a lot on my mind tonight, but I’ll try to be brief.
First, thank you to everyone who has returned jars, pots, and cardboard flats. Next, thank you to everyone who has been able to get lettuce, spinach, and more during the last month. Speaking of spinach, if you want some, let me know tonight. I plan to pick all of it in the morning and then pull the plants. Done. That bed will be refreshed and seeded with more broccoli. It often feels like “turn & burn” here!
Lastly, it has taken me a while to get all the plants organized, sorted, pull the ones needed for the gardens here, and get an accurate inventory. Most of the plants are ready to go this weekend. There are some tomatoes labeled “small” because they’re a later seeding, and those can go now or can stay here another week to get bigger. If you want plants, please let me know what variety, the number you’d like, and when you’d like to pick them up. You’ll get a confirmation reply from me once your order is ready. I’ll pull plants as the orders come in, and if there’s a shortage I’ll offer a substitution. Let the planting begin!! I’ll keep seeding, but plants will start going out on Sunday, too. The early tomatoes were planted last week and look great!
