Hope you’ll join us Saturday morning from 9:00 until noon on Ridgewood Road. While slicing and Roma tomatoes have slowed to a crawl, the cherry tomatoes are still giving! There are 8 pounds ready for tomorrow. At $3 per pound or two pounds for $5, it’s a great deal! Eat them as a snack, share with friends, slice them in half and toss with your favorite pasta salad, make a quick pan sauce for a hot pasta dish, or freeze them to make a fresh pasta sauce this winter – so many options, but they’ll start slowing soon. So, get them while you can! There are some slicers trying to ripen, it just takes longer when the days are getting shorter. Trust me, I’m watching them!

There were 16 single serve crisps in the oven earlier, and I enjoyed a small bowl of extra filling as my afternoon snack – yum! Cherry Berry does not disappoint with those sweet/tart cherries, strawberries, and black raspberries. Add in a crunchy oatmeal topping and it’s the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and crunchy.

Let me try to recall what’s been picked and what needs to be picked to get ready for tomorrow.

If you want a larger amount of any herbs (for drying or freezing), just let me know tonight and I’ll get them picked and ready for you.

It’s been a scorching week with intense fall sunshine and high temperatures, and we’re really hoping for rain Saturday night and Sunday. The gardens need a break and everything is so dusty and covered in pollen. Let’s have a fun Saturday morning and then slow down for the rest of the weekend.
