It’s farmstand time again! As plants are maturing, there are more crop varieties and quantities becoming ripe. It finally feels like we’re in the vegetable business! One note before we get to the menu.

Remember that if there’s something that you’d like, want something in bulk, or have a special order just let me know and you’ll be placed on my request sheet. Doing this allows me to pick and have homes for fresh stuff on days when there’s no farmstand. This has been invaluable at keeping the crops from spoiling. Please do not feel like this is an imposition! It makes things easier for me, and insures that you get the items that you really want. Today’s picking has cleared all the previous requests. I may also shout out when there’s a lot of something ready. This week it’s BEETS!! Please let me know if you want some, how many, and if you want the tops left on or removed.

Saturday Menu:
2 Radish $1.50/bunch (last until fall crops)
2 Green bell peppers .75 each
7 Carmen peppers .75 each
5 Sweet banana peppers .50 each
4 Serrano peppers 4/$1 (hot)
30 Jalapeno peppers 4/$1 (recipe links below)
12 Cucumbers .50 each or 6/$2.50
1/2 bag Mixed lettuce $2
1 Swiss chard $4/bag
1 Mini broccoli $2/half pound
1 Carrots $4/bundle
1 Baby carrots $3/bundle
3 Beets – $3/bundle
4 Okra pods $1
1 Roasting Kit (6 baby beets, 4 carrots, 1/4 pound broccoli, 2 onions, 1 yellow squash, fresh herbs) $5
Cut herbs – lots of basil ready, oregano, sage, thyme, rosemary, mojito mint
Cut flowers – $1 or $5 bouquets – sunflowers are opening today
8 Lemon raspberry breads $4/mini loaf
